What is the density of nickel?
By Forinfos - 22/03/2026 - 0 comments
Nickel is a solid metal element at room temperature and has a density of 8.912 grams per cubic centimeter. It is also a hard metal and has good corrosion resistance, which is why it is alloyed with other metals to improve toughness and increase their ability to resist corrosion.
Nickel is combined with steel to manufacture machine parts, armor plating and vaults. It is used to make different kinds of batteries and coins and is employed to create a protective coating on metals through the process of electroplating. Nickel is also paired with copper to make pipes used in desalination plants and can be alloyed with colbalt, iron and aluminum to construct very strong permanent magnets called alnico magnets.
