The 700 Club first aired on April 1, 1966, on CBN. The show began following the success of several telethons organized by Pat Robertson to fund the Christian Broadcasting Network.

The 700 Club features prayers, interviews, feature stories, Christian ministry and investigative reporting by the CBN news team. The show is filmed in front of a live audience at CBN’s Virginia Beach studio. As of 2015, the show’s hosts include Pat Robertson, Gordon Robertson, Terry Meeuwsen and news anchor John Jessup. Television networks such as the ABC Family cable network, Trinity Broadcasting Network and FamilyNet feature The 700 Club in their broadcast lineups.
