Did Donnie Swaggart get a divorce?

According to author and religious researcher Mark W. Swarbrick, Donnie Swaggart divorced his first wife and went on to marry a member of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries congregation, who was herself a divorcee. This second marriage also ended in divorce.

Donnie Swaggart is Jimmy Swaggart's son and is one of the evangelical ministers at Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. He continued to serve as a minister during the breakdown of his two marriages. Swarbrick reports that the divorce was a matter of concern in religious circles because the church teaches that ministers must be above reproach and that they must correctly manage their own household before they can manage the house of God.
