When did Hamilton Beach merge with Proctor Silex?

Hamilton Beach, Inc, which was a subsidiary of Glen Dimplex, merged with Proctor-Silex, a subsidiary of NACCO Industries, Inc., in 1990. NACCO owned 80 percent of the new company; Glen Dimplex, an Irish company, owned 20 percent. In 1996, NACCO acquired the remainder of Hamilton Beach from Glen Dimplex.
NACCO Industries is a holding company. As of 2015, in addition to Hamilton Beach Brands, its subsidiaries include Kitchen Collection, a specialty retailer of gourmet foods and kitchenware. The Kitchen Collection and Le Gourmet Chef brands are found in outlet stores and traditional malls across the United States.
NACCO also owns The North American Coal Corporation.
