Where did Homer live?

Historians believe Homer lived along the Asia Minor coast. Some historians say that Homer lived somewhere like Smyrna or Chios.

Historians do not know a lot about Homer. His life is quite mysterious. They believe he was born at some point between the 12th century and 8th century B.C. He was a Greek poet responsible for famous works like "The Odyssey" and "The Iliad," both of which are popular teaching materials in Western culture today. Historians think he made a living by performing as a storyteller and a court singer. Exactly when he penned his poetry is not known, but historians think it was after the 12th century B.C.
