Why did Imus in the Morning leave Fox?

According New York Daily News’ report in April 2015, Don Imus’ decision to move to his ranch in Texas, which does not have a remote television studio, is the reason for him to leave Fox Business Network. It is reported that both Imus and the network decided to split amicably.

New York Daily News reports that Imus’ respiratory problems and his son’s flourishing rodeo career based in Texas influenced Imus and his wife’s decision to move to Texas. As the TV studio of the simulcast, “Imus In The Morning,” was based in New York, Imus decided to end the TV broadcast. As of 2015, Imus will continue with radio version of the show.
