How did Lord Krishna die?

According to the Hindu religion, Lord Krishna died when a hunter accidentally shot him with an arrow. The arrow pierced Lord Krishna's heel, which was his only vulnerable spot (echoing the story of Achilles in Greek mythology).

Krishna lived to be 125 years old before he was killed. The hunter mistook Lord Krishna for a deer. After Krishna died, his spirit ascended to the heavenly paradise of Goloka as his sacred city Dvaraka sank deep below the surface of the ocean. Krishna remains one of the more well-known Hindu gods. He is regarded as the eighth incarnation of the god Vishnu.
