What did Martin Bashir say about Sarah Palin?

On Nov. 15, 2013, on his show on MSNBC, Martin Bashir made controversial comments about former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, calling her "America's resident dunce," and saying she has a "long-deceased mind." On Dec. 4, 2013, Bashir resigned from MSNBC after the controversy he caused with his comments.

After showing a clip of Palin comparing the borrowing of money from China to slavery, Bashir said about Palin: "Given her well-established reputation as a world class idiot, it's hardly surprising that she should choose to mention slavery in a way that is abominable to anyone who knows anything about its barbaric history."
