Where did Roald Dahl go to college?

Popular children's book author Roald Dahl chose not to go to college and instead worked a luxurious job with Shell Petroleum for five years. During this time he traveled the world and experienced many different cultures.

However, as World War II broke out in 1939, Dahl joined the Royal Air Force and was later one of 16 men accepted and trained in a fighter pilot program.

Dahl did have a varied but respectable education in childhood and attended The Cathedral School, Saint Peter's and the Repton School. Before his death in 1990, Dahl received several honorary degrees from colleges in the United States and abroad.
