Where did Rosa Parks go to college?

Rosa Parks did not go to college. She attended a secondary school that was organized by the Alabama State Teachers College for Negroes, but she left in 11th grade at age 16 in 1929 to care for her ailing mother and grandmother. Rosa earned her high school diploma in 1933.

Rosa Parks is well-known for her role as a civil rights activist. Her refusal to give up her seat on a bus to a white person in 1955 drew much attention and helped catapult the nation toward putting an end to segregation in public places. She was born Rosa Louise McCauley on Feb. 4, 1913, in Tuskagee, Ala.
