Where did Rosa Parks live?

Rosa Parks lived in several places during her life. She was born in Tuskegee, Ala. She moved to Pine Level, Ala., with her mother when her parents separated. The town was located just outside of Montgomery, Ala., where she lived for most of her early adult life.
In 1955, Parks was thrust into the public eye when she refused to give up her bus seat to a white person. Her principled defiance and subsequent arrest were the impetus for the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Because of economic retribution against her for her activism, Parks lost her job and was forced to leave Montgomery. After a stint in Hampton, Va., Parks and her family moved to Detroit, Mich. She lived there until she died in 2005 at the age of 92.
