The season 3 finale of the TNT crime drama "Major Crimes" debuted on January 12, 2015. The season finale was part of a two-part episode called "Special Master."

Still in production as of March 2015, "Major Crimes" debuted on August 13, 2012 as a spin-off of the show "The Closer," which competed its run on that date. The show was approved for a fourth season on July 18, 2014. Created by James Duff, the show takes place in Los Angeles and features the actions of the Los Angeles Police Department. "Major Crimes" stars Mary McDonnell, G.W. Bailey, Tony Denison, Michael Paul Chen, Raymond Cruz and Kearran Giovanni.
