The reality show followed the antics of Lebanon Levi and his group of friends and enemies in the Amish world. Levi was portrayed as the underground leader of the Amish. He and his friends had non-traditional ways of making things right and often resorted to violence. The series mostly took place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The show received a lot of backlash from people saying that the show was not an accurate representation of the Amish. Governor Tom Corbett even signed a petition that asked for the show to end.
