Do diet pills contain tapeworm eggs?
By Forinfos - 02/12/2025 - 0 comments
Diet pills do not have tape worm eggs in them, as (according to Marissa Dahl at TODAY Health) it is illegal to import and sell tapeworms in the United States. There are, however, documented cases of people ingesting live tapeworms in the hope of losing weight quickly, regardless of the risks.
WebMD and How Stuff Works mention that tapeworm infestations may be asymptomatic, however they may also cause weight loss and other unhealthy side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, weakness or loss of appetite. Tapeworms are at best an inefficient method of losing weight and at worst, in rare cases, they may even be fatal.
