What is the difference between an elongated and a standard toilet lid cover?
By Forinfos - 07/08/2025 - 0 comments
An elongated toilet lid cover is used on a toilet bowl that appears oval-shaped when looking down at it from above. A standard, or round front, toilet lid cover is used on a toilet bowl that appears round.
Elongated toilet bowls offer more comfort and are generally 2 inches longer than round toilets. Round toilet bowls are usually less expensive than the elongated versions and work better in small spaces. Both round and elongated toilet lid covers are available in a wide variety of materials, including wood, molded wood composition, cushioned vinyl, plastic and polypropylene. To avoid slamming, some toilet lid covers feature a slow-close mechanism.
