What is the distance between Mars and the Sun?
By Forinfos - 29/06/2025 - 0 comments
According to NASA, Mars is about 142 million miles from the sun. A day on Mars is slightly longer than 24 hours, and the planet takes 687 Earth days to orbit the sun.
Mars is rocky, which makes it a terrestrial planet. The surface of Mars has been altered by volcanoes, impacts, crustal movement and atmospheric effects, such as dust storms. Mars’ atmosphere is mostly made up of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and argon. Mars is also known as the Red Planet due to the iron minerals in its ground, which oxidize or rust, causing the soil and its dusty atmosphere to look red.
