What is the DMF boiling point?

The boiling point of DMF, or dimethylformamide, is 153 degrees Celsius or approximately 307 degrees Fahrenheit. DMF is produced by combining dimethylamine and carbon monoxide.
DMF is used as a solvent in making pesticides and fertilizers and in the manufacturing of electrical circuitry, leather, technical fabrics and active ingredients in pharmaceutical products. DMF is toxic and can be absorbed through the skin or lungs. Exposure may lead to cancer or liver disease and may harm a fetus. Dimethyl sulfoxide, or DMSO, is another solvent with a high boiling point that can often be used as a less toxic alternative to DMF.
