Why don't dogwood trees bloom?

By Forinfos - 01/01/2026 - 0 comments

Dogwood trees require ideal growing conditions and a specific location in order to bloom. Proper fertilizers and the right mulch are also important for a dogwood tree to bloom.

Dogwood trees should be planted in a location that receives partial sun, has high humidity and features well-drained soil. Larger trees near a dogwood tree should provide much-needed shade.

Fertilizers can harm a dogwood tree and prevent it from blooming. When fertilizing the lawn, provide a large circumference around the tree that does not get fertilized. Apply mulch around the base of the tree to provide favorable soil conditions and encourage growth.
