What is a door in door refrigerator?
By Forinfos - 02/04/2026 - 0 comments
A door-in-door refrigerator contains a magnetically sealed door bin on the outside of the fridge. The door bin serves as a quick-access storage space for food, drinks and condiments. The door bin opens by button and does not require the entire fridge door to be pulled open.
The door-in-door fridge was originally introduced by LG to not only store more food, but reduce the amount of ambient air that enters the refrigerator each time it is opened. Door-in-door fridges are also capable of using less energy than standard fridges. Upon its release in 2012, the door-in-door model used eight to 17 percent less energy than previous LG models according to GizMag.
