How do you download AOL 9.6?

To download AOL 9.6, open your Web browser, navigate to the Downloads page on AOL's website, select AOL Desktop, and click on the download link. Once the file is downloaded, run the installation program, then launch the application.

1. Navigate to AOL's website

   From the Start menu or a short cut, open your Web browser. In the address box, type "www.aol.com".

2. Go to the Downloads page

   On the home page, locate and click on the Downloads link, which may be at the very top or bottom of the page.

3. Download AOL Desktop

   Click on the image or button for AOL Desktop for Windows or Mac. On the following page, click on the Download Now or Get Started button. When prompted, select Save or Save File.

4. Find the installation file

   Open the downloads folder and locate the setup file.

5. Open the setup program

   To open the installation program, double-click on the setup file.

6. Install AOL Desktop

   If prompted, click Yes or Continue in the User Account Control window, then click OK. Read the terms and conditions, and then click on I Agree. To complete the installation process, follow the on-screen instructions.

7. Open the program

   Once the installation is complete, open AOL Desktop from the Start menu in Windows or the Applications folder on a Mac. When prompted, enter your AOL user name and password, or create a new account.
