Who is Dr. Avril Siung Chang?

Dr. Avril Siung Chang is a marine biologist who founded and served as the head of the Environmental Research Program. She has also served as an environmental health adviser for the World Health Organization and the Pan American Health Organization.

Chang was a head researcher on many programs at the Institute of Marine Affairs. She has been published in over 20 scientific journals and technical reports. The government of Trinidad and Tobago relied on Chang's expertise in environmental health during the establishment of the Environmental Management Authority.

Chang has also served on the Trinidad and Tobago National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
