Why is Dr. Julian Whitaker on the Quack List?

In 1995, a private nonprofit voluntary health agency listed Dr. Julian Whitaker on its Quack List due to accusations reports to its board that his alternative medicine practice misled the public. Dr. Whitaker misrepresented the medical profession and promoted mega-vitamins for inappropriate use, notes the National Council Against Health Fraud.
The agency criticized Dr. Whitaker’s advocacy of chelation therapy for vascular diseases and his intervention on behalf of doctors in legal trouble, according to Wikipedia. As of 2015, the agency is defunct, and Dr. Whitaker continues to serve patients at his wellness institute in California. The Quack List no longer receives updates or maintenance.
