Dublin is the largest city and the capital of Ireland. Dublin lies in the Leinster province on the east coast of Ireland and is situated at the mouth of the Liffey River. Dublin's population was 527,612 in 2011. The total area of Dublin is 44.4 square miles.

Dublin has a maritime climate much like the rest of northwest Europe. Dublin does not experience extreme temperatures any time during the year, as it has cool winters and mild summers. The average high temperature in January is around 50 degrees Fahrenheit, while the average high temperature in July is less than 70 degrees.
