What are dummy door handles?
By Forinfos - 29/04/2026 - 0 comments
Dummy door handles are stationary handles that do not serve the ordinary function of unlatching the door. They are mounted as if they are operational handles but only require a push or pull to open or close the door.
Dummy handles are often used on double doors or closet doors. They come in the same variety of styles and sizes as regular handles. Doors that have dummy handles have magnetic stops or ball catches at the top of the door to keep it closed. The handles are surface mounted or mounted from behind if one-sided. Dummy handles are also used on the inactive side of French doors.
