What is the most durable fabric for a sofa?

Leather is the most durable fabric for a sofa. Among the “natural fabric†category, leather is the prevalent recommendation among interior designers because it is elegant-looking, easy to maintain, and it can stand the test of time.
If the sofa is to be used on a daily basis by a family with kids and pets, distressed leather is a good choice. Distressed or treated leather can easily camouflage the scratches and imperfections, yet the durability is not sacrificed.
Another choice of durable sofa fabric is cotton blend, a more resilient version of natural cotton fabric because it is mixed with supplementary fibers. Wool is also a durable natural fabric combined with synthetic fiber, making it insusceptible to dirt, wrinkles and fading.
