"The Early Show" is a morning television show that aired on CBS from 1999 to 2012. It was the network's ninth attempt at a news-talk morning program since 1954.
The program aired Mondays through Saturdays from 7 to 9 a.m. The original broadcast location of the program was the New York City General Motors Building. Like many of the show's predecessors, "The Early Show" frequently placed third in the ratings, and its title was chosen to match with the CBS night talk show: "The Late Show." The Early Show ended its run on Jan. 6, 2012, and it was replaced later by "CBS This Morning."
