As of October 2014, over 7,000 students attend the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, Calif. The school has over 500 faculty members. FIDM is a private college that grants two- and four-year degrees in 26 creative majors.
Students attending FIDM are educated in the fashion, interior design, graphics and entertainment industries. FIDM was founded in 1969 by Tonian Hohberg and was the first fashion college of its kind on the West Coast. Tuition for FIDM depends on the major and degree program taken.
