What is an electric baseboard heater?
By Forinfos - 03/07/2025 - 0 comments
An electric baseboard heater is a type of zone heater that emits hot air into a room. This type of heater is typically found underneath windows so that it can neutralize the cool air from the glass with its heated air waves.
A typical electric baseboard heater requires between 500 to 2000 watts of electricity to run, as of 2015. The wattage of a baseboard heater generally translates to approximately 1 square foot of heated space per 10 watts of power. An electric baseboard heater is generally controlled using a thermostat that is placed in the same room. Commercial-grade baseboard heaters are also available for larger areas, such as stadiums, hotel lobbies and restaurants, as of 2015.
