What is epoxy wood filler?

Epoxy wood filler is used to make cosmetic repairs on damaged areas of wood. It withstands weathering and can be molded to match the contours of the existing wood. Epoxy wood filler consists of wood putty and a liquid hardener that allows the putty to bond with the wood.
Epoxy wood filler is often used to repair outdoor structures damaged by moisture. It can be used alone for small repairs or combined with small pieces of wood that can be cemented together by the epoxy, building up the profile. Load-bearing structures should not be repaired with wood putty since its use can compromise the integrity of the structure.
