As of 2015, Erin McElroy, a traffic reporter for WGN Morning News, is married to WGN Morning News meteorologist Demetrius Ivory. The wedding took place in December 2014.

Before joining WGN in Chicago full-time in 2011, McElroy, a graduate of Columbia College in Chicago, worked as a reporter and morning news anchor for WREX-TV in Rockford, Illinois, and as a general assignment reporter and weekend news anchor for WDJT-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Prior to joining the WGN Morning News Team, she helped with the launch of WGN's first online traffic reporting show, "CommuterCast." Ivory, a graduate of Ohio State University, joined WGN in 2013.
