EVA rubber, also known as ethylene acetate is a strong, supple polymer that has many uses in electrical applications. The rubber is lightweight and non-toxic making ideal for many other applications, too.
EVA is a blend of ethylene and vinyl acetate and it is used to produce shoe soles, craft materials and sound absorption. Referred to as foam rubber, EVA is often sold in sheets when not used to manufacture a specific product. Other uses for EVA rubber include fishing pole handles, eyewear and packaging. The rubber is popular because it is inexpensive, durable and easy to mold. Another common use is for safety pads including ski gear, football pads and snowboarding gear.
