Was there ever a Bosch dishwasher recall?

There was a voluntary recall of certain Bosch dishwashers manufactured in the United States between May 1999 and July 2005 and sold in the United States and Canada between May 1999 and December 2006. A fire hazard due to overheating in an electrical component caused the recall.

Fifty-one reports of incidents were received by BSH Home Appliances. Thirty of those reports included fires with property damage. No injuries were reported.

Model and serial number information is found inside the dishwasher door panel, in the upper-right corner. The models and serial numbers included in the recall are available from the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and on the Bosch website.
