How do you evolve Slowpoke?

Slowpoke evolves into Slowbro once it has reached level 37. Slowpoke can also evolve into Slowking if it is holding the King's Rock during a trade. Once it is a Slowbro, it cannot evolve into a Slowking.

  1. Decide between Slowbro and Slowking

    The player needs to choose between leveling Slowpoke to 37 or trade evolving it.

  2. Get the King's Rock

    If evolving Slowpoke into Slowking, the player needs to find a King's Rock to give to Slowpoke. A King's Rock can be found in the Slowpoke Well, Celestic Town, Lumiose City and Mossdeep City.

  3. Trade Slowpoke

    Slowpoke automatically evolves if it is traded while holding the King's Rock.
