Trade associations include the Connecticut World Trade Association, CoreNet Global, Greater Akon Chamber, Produce Marketing Association and the Taiwan Trade Center. Trade associations are developed for a group of people who work together to promote their industry or key objectives of their business.

Trade associations can be leveraged for several reasons, including to help build awareness about a particular topic or issue. They may be leveraged in order to lobby against the government and certain laws or issues. Using a trade association, people may be more successful in arguing their points of views rather than doing it on an individual basis.
