Why does my face get red?

Red skin on the face may be a condition called Rosacea, explains WebMD. Between the ages of 30 and 50, fair-skinned people may develop this condition first as easy blushing. Then small blood vessels and pimples may occur. Rosacea causes redness and swelling of the cheeks, forehead, nose and chin.
A number of triggers can cause a rosacea outbreak, including heat, cold, sunlight, stress, and certain foods, drinks, and skin products, says WebMD. Treatment options vary from avoiding triggers to antibiotics to chemical peels to laser and light therapy.Having a doctor diagnose the condition and beginning treatment early is important to stop its progression.
