Can you use bleach to clean baby bottles?

Baby bottles can be washed in bleach. If it is desired not to boil the bottles before sterilizing them, wash the bottle with warm soapy water and then soak it in a bleach solution. The solution should consist of 4.5 liters of water and a tablespoon of bleach.

Another method is to soak the washed bottles in the bleach solution for two minutes. Rinse the solution through the nipples. The mixture should be two teaspoons of bleach per gallon of water. Allow the bottles and nipples to drain dry. It is important not to add too much bleach to the solutions because this could damage the bottles and be harmful to the baby.
