Matthew Centrowitz runs for the United States and achieved the indoor 2015 record in February 2015. Centrowitz specializes in the 1,500-meter run and also finished in 4th in the 1,500 meter race at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The person who has the record for the fastest mile in history is Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco, with a time of 3:43:13.
