Father Time is the personification of time itself. He is usually depicted as an old man who may be carrying an hourglass, watch or scythe.
Father Time is also known as Chronos and Saturn. He has been the symbol of time since ancient times and in ancient mythology, Saturn was the son of Uranus and Gaea. He was the youngest of the 12 Titans, and as the story goes, Saturn, with Gaea's help, castrated his father, separating heaven from Earth. Once Uranus had been taken out of the picture, Saturn became the King of the Titans.
When Father Time took control of all things time related, three of his children, Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto became air, water and death, three things that time couldn't touch.
