How often does the ferry to Newfoundland run?
By Forinfos - 05/04/2025 - 0 comments
The main ferry to Port aux Basques, Newfoundland, generally runs twice-daily year round, subject to some slight seasonal variations, as of 2015. The longer ferry route to Argentia, Newfoundland, runs three times a week from June to mid-September, reducing to once a week for the last 10 days of September.
Both routes sail from North Sydney, Nova Scotia with ferry company Marine Atlantic. The full sailing schedule is available at MarineAtlantic.ca. Travelers click on Schedule under the Plan Your Travel menu on the home page, and then either view the full printable schedule or select the schedule for a specific route. The home page also shows the status of current ferry departures and arrivals.
