What is fiber optic grass?

Fiber optic grass is not a grass, but a low maintenance sedge. The stems on these plants resemble grass blades; on the tips of these stems, there are small, light-colored flowers that look similar to fiber optic lamps. Fiber optic grass is deer-resistant and has few pest problems.
Fiber optic grass needs much moisture to survive and is found in wet areas in western and southern Europe, North Africa, the west coast of North America, the British Isles, Australia and New Zealand. The plants are easy to grow and thrive best in the sun, but they will dry out and turn brown if not moisturized enough.
