Are financial ratings of companies available online?

The financial ratings for hundreds of companies are available online from Morningstar, states Morningtar Inc. Morningstar determines its credit ratings through four key scores, including business risk, cash-flow cushion, solvency and distance to default.

Morningstar lists the corporate ratings on a table by company name in alphabetical order, the company website shows. The table displays the company's stock market ticker symbol, Morningstar credit rating, business sector, stock star rating and economic moat. A company's credit rating is given an A, B, SUS or UR letter score. The star ratings for stocks are measured between one and five. A company's economic moat is graded as none, narrow or wide.
