Are flamingos endangered?

According to Sea World, as of 2014 no species of the flamingo is considered endangered under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. There are four different types of flamingos in America and only two in Europe.
Flamingos are wading birds with long legs. They are often seen standing on one leg with the other leg tucked closely under the body. Though the reason is unknown, some scientists believe standing on one leg helps the flamingo conserve body heat, especially when wading in cold water. Adult flamingos range in color from light pink to dark red, with the most well fed flamingos having the brightest color.
