Are chameleons endangered?
By Forinfos - 16/08/2025 - 0 comments
According to the National Wildlife Federation, there are over 180 different species of chameleons and only a few are in immediate danger of becoming extinct. Destroying a chameleon’s natural habitat is the biggest threat to its existence.
Another threat to the chameleon is when an individual catches a chameleon in hopes of turning it into a pet. These reptiles usually die before or shortly after they make it into a person’s home. Chameleons prefer to live in forests or in the scrub lands where they can crawl around in bushes and trees.
