What is a flat-top grill?
By Forinfos - 26/03/2025 - 0 comments
A flat-top grill is a cooking appliance that features elements of both a grill and a griddle. The flat-top grill doesn't have grates like a standard grill, and it provides a flat surface for cooking like a griddle.
The heating element for a flat-top grill is circular unlike the parallel rows found on a standard grill, and it provides an evenly heated surface for cooking. Flat-top grills originated in Mexico and Central America for the purpose of cooking corn dough. The original grills were made of clay, but they are now constructed from metal. Flat-top grills can be used to grill, blacken, bake and toast foods.
