The Doritos Flamin' Hot flavor was discontinued sometime in 2000-2001. While they never brought the specific flavor back, spicy flavors such as Dinamita Chile Limon and Flamas are currently on the market for customers craving a hotter flavor.

The Flamin' Hot flavor has something of a cult following, with fans clamoring for its return. A petition on Facebook is regularly updated with messages urging fans to call in to Frito-Lay, manufacturer of Doritos, and demand the flavor be brought back to store shelves. A similar product to the original Doritos variety is the Flamin' Hot Cheetos, another product from Frito-Lay that uses the same flavor.
