Simpson's most successful year occurred in 1973, when he rushed for a then-record of 2,003 yards and was named the NFL's most valuable Player. Two years later, Simpson tallied 2,243 yards from scrimmage and a career-high 23 touchdowns. A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Simpson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985.
