Where are Ford Taurus cars manufactured?

The Ford Taurus Car is manufactured at Ford's Chicago Assembly plant alongside the Lincoln MKS sedan and the Ford Explorer SUV. The Chicago Assembly was opened in 1924 and was the manufacturing location for the original Ford Model T and Ford Model A vehicles.

The Chicago Assembly is also the oldest Ford factory that is still in operation in North America. During World War II, the location was briefly converted to produce war equipment, such as the M-8 armored car and M-20 reconnaissance armored unit. As of 2015, the Chicago Assembly is able to produce over 600 vehicles per 10-hour work shift and is in production seven days a week.
