There are no hair franchises that cater specifically to plus-size women, as of 2015. Although the majority of salons can accommodate a plus-size woman, the only plus-size salon on record is Hair by Bashar in the UK.

Hair by Bashar is operated and owned by Bashar Brown. He was inspired to open a salon specifically for plus-size women to make these consumers feel more comfortable in salons where otherwise they might be intimidated or uncomfortable. He also tailored the experience at his salon to include larger chairs, wash basins and gowns.
