  1. Place the leaves into a food processor

    Place the washed, dried basil leaves into a clean, dry food processor.

  2. Chop the leaves

    Process the leaves until they are chopped coarsely.

  3. Add olive oil

    Add a few drops of olive oil to the food processor.

  4. Pulse the mixture

    Process the mixture thoroughly.

  5. Ladle the mixture into ice trays, and freeze

    Place small amounts of the basil leaf and olive oil mixture into ice trays, and place them into a freezer.

  6. Remove and store the frozen basil

    Place the frozen basil cubes into plastic freezer-safe storage containers, and return them to the freezer until ready to use.
