How do you freeze marshmallows?

Freeze marshmallows by separating them into small portions and storing each in an air-tight package. Freezing preserves marshmallows and prevents them from going stale.

1. Separate marshmallows

   Separate the marshmallows into single-serving portions. Dust each portion with a little confectioners sugar to prevent the marshmallows from sticking together.

2. Wrap marshmallows

   Place each portion inside a plastic bag or plastic container with a tight-fitting lid. Separating the marshmallows this way ensures that only the needed amount is defrosted at one time.

3. Label and freeze

   Label each bag of marshmallows with a use-by date, three months out from the time of freezing. Place the marshmallows in the freezer, keeping them away from items like meat that can leech flavor.
